The E Collar guide that finally makes sense. No overwhelm. No guesswork. Just everything you actually need.
You’ve watched the videos. You’ve read the threads. The collar is still in the box.
And still…
What level do I start on? Whose method do I follow? Why does he blow it off outside? I’ve been there. And I built this guide for you.
You can't go wrong with the E Collar Starter Guide. At over 100 pages, it's basically a cookbook for e-collar training. Weird comparison, I know, but I love cookbooks (I mean, food is the best) because they give you clear, step-by-step instructions. That's exactly what this guide does.
Owners who started where you are
“Before starting the guide I felt nervous and intimidated by the ecollar. Now I feel motivated and excited!” - Diana
“I couldn’t have done E Collar training without this book. It’s about someone holding my hand, day by day, giving me the structure I need so I can pass it on to my dog.” - Nicola
FAQ ABOUT THE E COLLAR

I love to use the Mini Educator from E Collar technologies. Our guide works best when you’re using an E Collar that has at least 100 levels. Another reason we prefer the mini educator is its tone function - when you switch the vibrate button to tone (a sound). I love to use tone paired with stim (short for stimulation referring to the 100 levels) for recall. The combo is so helpful when teaching dogs to prioritize their recall command.

Yes! Reactivity is tough. The E Collar Starter Guide is structured to give you a solid training foundation in the first parts of the guide.
After that foundation, I recommend checking out our Reactive Dog Handbook to support you with those specific behaviors. -
We cover this in the Problem Solver Guide. From barking in the kennel, reactivity on walks, barking in your home - we cover it all!

It helps when a dog knows certain commands (sit, down, their name), but your dog does not need to know place or heel. You can teach those commands when starting with the E Collar. I actually prefer to teach place when introducing the E Collar. I find that the combo helps a dog understand things quicker.

6-8 months is the age I recommend starting. And I have a yet to meet a dog who is too old to start E Collar training. Dogs of all ages can benefit from this training. And owners, too!
